Our Story
Breakwater Electric was founded in 2000 to give Stratford-area homeowners and businesses a licensed, locally owned alternative to larger out-of-town electrical contractors. The company started with residential repair and upgrade work and grew to cover new wiring, generators, EV chargers, and commercial and industrial projects as demand in the surrounding towns increased. Over the years, the service area has expanded to include Bridgeport, Milford, Fairfield, Shelton, Trumbull, Derby, West Haven, Westport, Ansonia, Orange, Newtown, Monroe, Seymour, Easton, and Weston.

The Founder's Story
Donald J. White III founded Breakwater Electric in 2000. The company is locally owned, offers free estimates, and still serves Stratford and the surrounding towns today.
